I've lived in Houston for a year and a half, and I've never seen a lion in a tree. Plastic bags and crackles (a type of bird that seems to replicate like the Borg), but never a lion. Nice blog -- spot on, as they say. Keep it coming.
On an obscure note... the tree branch looks a little like a hand (palm up, lion in hand). A lion in the hand is worth avoiding, because it will eat you so don't try it okay?

Again, no way that's a lion in a tree.
